York Hospital, Surgical & Critical Care Tower
Benchmark partnered with LF Driscoll to construct an eight-story Surgical & Critical Care Tower and upgrade the existing Central Utility and Electrical buildings at WellSpan York Hospital.
Before construction could start, our team demolished the existing six-story medical office building and a single-story building, both adjacent to the active hospital, helipad, and emergency department entrance.
The final steel beam was placed in September 2025, and our team is now working on drying in the building to begin the fit-out phase of the project.
This expansion aims to deliver more advanced specialty care to the Central PA region, including larger surgical suites, additional intensive care units, and dedicated support for cardiovascular, neurology, and trauma services.
