Lititz Watch Technicum

The Lititz Watch Technicum is a two-story building located in Lititz, PA. Designed by world-renowned architect Michael Graves, the building incorporates Amish-style influences into the architecture. The barn-like fieldstone buildings, including a silo structure, are surrounded by an array of fountains, lush landscaping and a private pond.

The building construction incorporated a multitude of unique materials. The interior structure included Douglas Fir timber framing for all roofs and separate timber structures in the silo and lobby areas. Interior finishes include imported Swiss Pearwood wall panels and honed Brazilian slate floors. Exterior elements include a barrel-shaped Rhine Zinc roof and natural stone exterior. The “Technicum” houses a repair facility as well as a training facility. It incorporates classrooms, a library, a cafeteria and other academic amenities on the lower level. The upper level houses Rolex’s repair center and administrative offices.
