Christian Street Parking Garage

The remaining piece of the revitalization of the Ewell Plaza located in the heart of downtown Lancaster will feature a nine-story structure (two stories for commercial and seven for parking). The urban site requires a high level of coordination, communication and strategy regarding pedestrians, vehicular traffic and adjacent businesses.

Once approved by the city, our team demolished an existing concrete structure which was located adjacent to two structures which will remain. The construction of the new precast structure will begin in the spring of 2020 and will utilize a deep foundation system with over 400 micropiles to support the building’s foundation system.

At completion, the infill project, in cooperation with the Lancaster City, CRIZ (City Revitalization Improvement Zone) Authority, features:

  • 353 new parking spaces
  • 40,000 SF of commercial space utilized by the Lancaster Public Library
  • 4,500 SF of future commercial tenant space
