Hershey Inn & Suites

Hershey Inn & Suites is a new hotel located in Hershey, PA, part of Hershey Entertainment & Resorts. The four-story, 76,691 SF hotel features 130 rooms and provides guests with a full range of amenities, including complimentary continental breakfast and an indoor pool.

The foundation is constructed of 372 micropiles, all tied into a 4,000 cubic yard slab underneath the building. This approach was necessary due to the karst geological conditions that made the area prone to sinkholes, making the foundation work tedious and unpredictable.

The building structure is comprised of a mix of structural steel, cold-formed heavy-gauge metal framing studs, and CMU that all support the precast hollow core plank floor assembly. This requires meticulous scheduling as four different subcontractors have to work cohesively back-to-back.
