Responsibilities

  • Traditional Carpentry Tasks. Trim, casework installation, Doors, Frames, and Hardware installation.
  • Precision Work. Measure and mark cutting lines on materials, using a ruler, pencil, chalk, and marking gauge. Cut materials to specified measurements using hand tools, machines, or power saws.
  • Structural Work. Remove damaged or defective parts or sections of structures and repair or replace them using hand tools.
  • Clean-Up. Participate in clean-up as directed by the Superintendent or other Benchmark employees. This may include sweeping and trash removal. Tell the difference between trash and material needed for future use on the project. Clean windows, vacuum, and mop floors as needed.
  • Logistics. Organize and stage material to be stored for future work. Unload daily deliveries and keep them organized, put them in the appropriate location.
  • Maintenance. Maintain the property (pick up trash, mow grass, etc.) around the job trailer as directed by the Superintendent. Maintain any Benchmark perimeter fencing.

  • Understand and accept all ICRA requirements, procedures, and materials if applicable to your project.
  • High School Diploma/GED or current enrollment in high school in a Career & Technology Program.
  • Be at least 17 years of age.
