Everything we build impacts our community. With a commitment to sustainability and a focus on integrity, we are dedicated to building a better community for future generations.
For over three decades, Benchmark has demonstrated a commitment to green practices and has guided our clients, subcontractors and partners towards sustainable decisions. Through the preconstruction and construction process, our in-depth knowledge of LEED, Passive Building Principles, and Green Advantage Best Practices guides our clients’ decisions relating to sustainability, green building and the related cost implications. With thoughtful decisions on green practices, our clients can envision the positive impact they make on the environment and the community.

Sustainability for our clients starts with our own best practices. To reduce our own carbon footprint, Benchmark corporate headquarters utilize solar panels, LED site lighting and sensor lights at our training center and corporate offices. Our in-house Sustainability Committee seeks opportunities to proactively identify environmentally sensitive ways to build and work. Through the committee’s advocacy and continuous education, our vision is to inform, educate and stay well-versed in current and emerging green practices.
To bring creative, environmentally conscious and financially responsible solutions to our clients, Benchmark encourages employees to obtain certifications in Green Advantage, LEED Green Associates, LEED Accredited Professionals and LEED AP Building Design and Construction, or other green certifications.
While Benchmark recognizes that not every project is LEED qualified, implementation of purposeful green building guides our clients through sustainable best practices. Through this commitment, we are able to not only build better buildings; we are able to build a better community. [/read]
