Lancaster General Hospital - Executive Suite

Exceptional craftsmanship and quality is immediately prevalent when you enter the lobby of the new 15,000 square foot Executive suite at the Lancaster General Hospital. You are first greeted by a large radius reception desk with floor to ceiling radius cherry panels as the backdrop. The elegant Corian countertops, backlight glass inserts in the reception desk, and radius cherry soffit work set the tone of quality and craftsmanship for the entire project.

The majority of the projects’ trim and paneling was essentially constructed three times. Because of the intricacies of the work and the desire to have minimal trim elements, the installation of the blocking was extremely important to the success of the final installation. After the blocking was installed, the team constructed full size templates of the final product so that the pieces could be manufactured to the exact size and shape. And the last installation was the precision fit custom trim and paneling that everyone sees and admires.

Each of the 24 private offices required a solid cherry door frame with sidelite and a solid cherry window frame along the corridor wall. Each of the window frames were constructed on site because the designers did not want to incorporate a casing element around the jamb of the window units.

The extreme attention to detail and the true craftsmanship displayed by these three craftsmen can be appreciated with a quick walk through of this spectacular project. It brings great pride to think that the work of these men is one of the first impressions made to guests of the Executive staff of the Lancaster General Hospital.
