Pennsylvania College of Art & Design
The Pennsylvania College of Art & Design is a professional art college offering bachelor of fine art programs. The project, dubbed “Face Forward,” transformed the plain five-story, square building’s concrete and EIFS facade into a piece of art.
The renovation project utilized various design elements to create the new facade, as well as updating the lobby and art gallery finishes.
Sleek, modern facade constructed of alucobond wrapped columns, EIFS panels below the windows, aluminum window canopies, stainless steel panels at street level, a continuous 12’ x 60’ stainless steel wire mesh over the stair tower, and a computerized lighting system that consisted of LED tube lighting and spot lights, which created the changing spectrum of colors on the facade.

| "The project was done with exquisite attention to detail, in addition to being on-time (with a very aggressive time constraint). Your staff was key to making it work so well. I appreciate the ownership they demonstrated and their determination to make this a high quality project, even when faced with a tight timeline and unusual materials and techniques. When a contractor is more concerned with getting all the details right than I am, I know I am in good hands."
