The estate’s magnificent house is built upon an Ivany block foundation adding to the home’s overall strength and stability. Throughout the project, from below grade to rooftop, Benchmark exceeded traditional construction standards to ensure exceptional quality.
Sunny Meadows Estate’s finely finished stucco exterior walls create an appealing texture, adorned by pre-cast limestone cornice and moldings. Crowning this architectural achievement is a luminous and highly durable 16 oz. standing seam copper roof, boasting integral gutters for added quality.
Structural stable heavy gage commercial steel floor joists support an exquisite expanse of Golden Beach Italian granite. In many areas of the home, durable quarter-sawn White Sap Maple flooring provides just the right amount of subtle contrast to the granite, adding softness and a brightening effect to the atmosphere.
Subtle, yet attractive plaster-veneered interior walls create a perfect surface for displaying the owners’ fine art. Hidden beneath is commercial-grade structural steel stud framing, providing an elevated level of quality for such a residence.
To carry the theme of elegant quality throughout the design, matching imported granite is
used in many areas of the home. Bathrooms are richly appointed with granite tubs, showers, counters, and floors. Large granite work and eating surfaces are highlights of the stunning kitchen, as is an impressive, stainless-steel range hood with custom-designed, field-fabricated halogen lighting.
Impressively beautiful solid steel windows, imported from England, allow generous amounts of light to illuminate all of the living spaces. Tastefully crafted bronze hardware and embellishments were custom-designed for Sunny Meadows Estate and imported from England for use throughout the home.
To provide levels of comfort and efficiency that match the extraordinary quality of this home, commercial mechanical systems were selected, including an in-floor hydronic radiant heat system. Benchmark also installed a sophisticated climate control system – featuring state-of-the-art humidification and dehumidification – to create an optimal environment for preserving the owners’ art collection. To add ergonomic appeal, advanced security, entertainment, and communications systems are all built in.
At the guest entrance, beautifully finished, custom-designed mahogany doors invite visitors to make a grand entrance into Sunny Meadows Estate. In other areas, casual porches, featuring attractive, resilient Cyprus ceilings and floors, provide a comfortable transition between the grounds and the home.
