The Parking Garage and Entrance Lobby is a 155,000 square foot addition for Lancaster General Hospital. This project consisted of a new public and employee parking garage as well as a new front entrance lobby to the Hospital.

One of many challenges on the project was the removal of our 1,200 cubic yards of rock right next to a working hospital. Another challenge was the logistics of delivering and erecting foot long concrete deck pieces to a downtown location. Both tasks required constant communications between LGH staff and Benchmark in order to facilitate the daily schedule of the Hospital.

Construction was completed in just nine months and the new two-story atrium lobby now greets patients and visitors. The five-level garage provides a total of 338 parking spaces, which is accessible directly to the ground, first and second floor of the Hospital.
