Project Estimator
This position is responsible for pricing and preparing bids for large commercial and institutional construction projects. The ideal candidate will have Timberline experience as well as conceptual and competitive bid estimating abilities. The candidate must have an understanding of current market values and healthcare and/or senior living experience. Candidates should have a solid relationship with regional specialty contractors and vendors as well as design professionals. A strong work ethic, the capacity to meet deadlines and work under pressure are a must.
MEP Estimator
This position is responsible for pricing and preparing bids for large commercial and institutional construction projects. The ideal candidate will have Timberline experience, a strong mechanical background, conceptual estimating abilities, and a design/build background. The candidate must have an understanding of current market values and healthcare and/or senior living experience. In addition, this candidate must have a solid relationship with regional suppliers, a strong work ethic and the capacity to meet deadlines and work under pressure.
Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager
The qualified candidate must have excellent leadership skills and effectively manage others on the project team. The candidate must have the ability to supervise all activities on multiple commercial and institutional construction projects. This position is responsible for job progress, scheduling, job cost controls, material and subcontractor procurement. The candidate must have exceptionally strong written and oral communication skills in order to interact with clients, design professionals and project team members. Job responsibilities include cost control, scheduling, document control, change order development and coordination of subcontractors. The candidate must have a minimum of three years of commercial and institutional construction experience. The candidate must have knowledge of Primavera Contract Manager and MS Excel. A construction related degree is preferred.
Project Engineer
The Project Engineer will be responsible for management of all field related documentation including submittals and shop drawings. The position also requires scheduling of tasks and manpower on a construction project. This position requires an in-depth understanding of the construction industry. The Project Engineer works closely with the Project Manager and the Superintendent to ensure the success of the project. The candidate should possess a minimum of three years of experience working on commercial construction projects, coupled with the ability to administer project control systems, estimate material, maintain construction documents and prepare detailed reports.
Administrative Assistant
This position is responsible for assisting corporate executives, project managers and estimators. Ideal candidate must be experienced, dependable, and have the ability to handle multiple tasks. Excellent communication skills, team orientation and service commitment a must. The position requires the ability to work independently, set priorities and interpret communications. Candidate must also possess strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office XP/2003.
Intern
Benchmark Construction's intern program runs throughout the year. College candidates apply for employment. Students are paired with a mentor who leads them through the construction process. Interns will be exposed to all aspects of the project from estimating and project management to accounting and field supervision. Many interns become a part of the Benchmark family and return for full-time employment.
