Benchmark Construction is pleased to announce that Jeremiah C. Rineer, Safety Director, has received U.S. EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting Rule Renovator Initial Certification. This certification will allow Rineer to test for lead paint and develop lead-safe work practices.

As of April 2010, contractors performing renovations, repairs and painting projects that disturb lead-based paint in homes, child care facilities and schools built before 1978 must be certified and must follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.
