REORGANIZING AND EXPANDING OUR LEADERSHIP
Benchmark Construction Company, Inc. recently announced an expansion to its management structure in order to react to the increased responsibilities driven by current success and growth. “We have a great leadership team filled with bright and energetic people. Reorganizing and expanding our leadership team is what we believe needs to happen,” states Robert Brandt, Jr., Chairman of the Board.
Robert Brandt has been named Chairman of the Board and will be focusing his efforts on expanding the company’s construction management and development activities. Brandt is a 1977 graduate of Temple University and founded Benchmark Construction Company in 1985.
Michael Callahan will become President. According to Brandt, “I have a lot of confidence in Mike. He understands the needs of the strategic plan and the sophisticated management group required to accomplish the goals. He is the right person to push us to the next level.” Callahan is a graduate of Millersville University and began his career with Benchmark in 1985, most recently serving as Executive Vice President overseeing all construction operations.
Christopher Smith has been promoted to Vice President of Construction. Smith is a graduate of Penn State University and began his career in 1999, most recently in the role of Project Executive.
Austin “Bud” Mayberry has been appointed Vice President of Conceptual Estimating. Mayberry has been with Benchmark for over 20 years, most recently serving as Vice President of Estimating.
Michael Kreider has been promoted to Vice President of Estimating. Kreider is a graduate of the Associated Builders and Contractors Apprenticeship Program and has been with Benchmark since 1998.
Stephen Lee will be focusing his efforts on expanding Benchmark’s construction management activities and has been promoted to Vice President of that department. Lee, previously a Project Executive, joined the company in 2000 and is a graduate of Penn State University.
Jeff Sturla and Jennifer Goldbach will continue in their roles overseeing Preconstruction and Business Development, respectively.

Benchmark Construction Company, Inc. is a commercial and institutional general contractor based in Brownstown, Pennsylvania. The company was founded in 1985 and services all of Southeast and Central Pennsylvania and Northern Delaware and Maryland.
