Benchmark Construction Company of Brownstown has recently been selected as the General Contractor for the Library Conversion at The Penn State University, Milton S. Hershey Medical Center in Hershey, PA. This $3,212,000, 20,965 square foot renovation will convert the existing second floor library into a new state-of-the-art learning center which will have ten training labs, three simulated labs, two centralized control areas to observe the simulated labs, one meeting room, and one debriefing room. The library will move to the first floor where slight adjustments will be made to accommodate. Construction is to commence in December, with an anticipated completion date of July 2009. Benchmark Construction’s management team will be Don Weeks, Project Manager and Darryl Blantz, Project Superintendent.
