BENCHMARK CONSTRUCTION BREAKS GROUND FOR THE NEW EDEN ROAD MEDICAL CENTER
Benchmark Construction Company, Inc. of Brownstown, PA broke ground recently for the construction of the new Eden Road Medical Center at 730 Eden Road in Manheim Township, Lancaster County. This new 21,140 sf state-of-the-art, three story medical center has an approximate project value of $6,000,000.00 and will offer services such as ambulatory surgery, physical therapy and magnetic resonance imaging. There will be an MRI unit, three physical therapy rooms, one open exercise area and two evaluation rooms located on the first floor, an ambulatory surgery center with two operating rooms will make up the second floor and each floor will have their own reception area. The building is a steel superstructure with light gauge metal frame curtain walls, the exterior will consist of brick, stucco and aluminum/glass curtain walls. It will house the MRI Group, Lancaster Neuroscience & Spine Associates; Ambulatory Surgery Center and Lancaster General Hospital Physical Therapy.
Approximatly 4,500 sf of space is available on the third floor. The developer is currently talking with several medical groups regarding space.
Construction of this building is to commence later this month and be completed by February 15th 2009. Benchmark has named Christopher deVitry as the project manager and Fred Kurtz will be the on-site superintendent.
