Benchmark Construction Company’s Superintendent Billy Lastinger has been named a co-recipient of the Associated Builders and Contractors Instructor of the Year Award. Mr. Lastinger is a graduate from the ABC’s apprenticeship program and has been a carpentry instructor for the past two years. Mr. Lastingers has sent two of his apprentice journeyman carpenters to National competitions. Both have succefully participated in the events, resulting in a bronze medal finalist and a gold medal Champion. He enjoys the gratification he gets from sharing his wealth of trade skills, as well as watching his students excel in their studies. Mr. Lastinger began his career at Benchmark in 1996 as a journeyman carpenter, he was promoted to a superintendent in 2001. He and his family reside in Manheim.
