Project Description: Foxdale Village is a Quaker-directed Continuing Care Retirement Community in State College, PA. Benchmark will construct a 234,480 square foot expansion and renovation. Construction for this project is expected to start in August 2010 with a 24-month duration.
The project will be completed in multiple phases:
The first phase of construction includes sitework along with the construction of a two level parking structure.
The second phase of the project includes construction of the new three-story, U-shaped Independent Living Apartment Building. This building will house 57 units consisting of seven different floor plans ranging in size from 864 square feet to 1,350 square feet. The apartment building will also feature a Wellness Center. This phase also includes renovations and additions to the existing Commons Building. These additions and renovations will feature upgrades to the administrative and clinical areas located on the ground floor. The first floor will have an expanded kitchen area and additions to enlarge the existing café.
The third phase includes a two-story expansion to the existing healthcare facility which would add 33 more personal care rooms and allow Foxdale Village to care for dementia diagnosis, which includes Alzheimer’s disease and late stage dementia. This addition will be tied into the existing facility by two connecting links.
The fourth and final phase of the project includes renovations to the existing healthcare facility. Common areas will be renovated to create a community-centered environment. Existing resident rooms will receive interior finish upgrades and bathroom renovations.
